2015 Chevy Tahoe Fan Won't Turn Off - Help Needed!

I feel for you! These fan problems can be so annoying. It could also be that the fan is simply stuck due to debris or a malfunction. Have you checked under the hood for any blockages?

Just a thought, but it could also be a wiring issue. Maybe a short circuit is causing the fan to stay on. I’d recommend getting it looked at to be safe!

Good point! I had no idea those could get blocked. It’s always the little things, isn’t it?

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but if all else fails, just turn up the music! Not much you can do if it’s a glitch, right? Just kidding. Seriously, though—get it checked out.

Honestly, fan problems on the Tahoe can be so random. It might be worth taking it to a professional—sometimes they can detect issues that aren’t obvious to us.

You’re right about wiring issues! I had the same problem with my climate control. It was a faulty wire that was causing my fan to misbehave.

You know, I once had a similar experience and it turned out to be a bad ground connection. Definitely take a look under the dashboard or check with a mechanic.

Haha! Good one, but definitely better to fix the fan! Hope you find a solution soon!

Also, if the fan is still on after the engine turns off, it might be a residual fan function due to overheating. Make sure your coolant levels are good!

That’s a good point! I’d check coolant levels first before anything else. It’s important!

In the end, sometimes these mechanical issues can lead to great stories. Just think, you’ll have a fun tale to tell about how your fan wouldn’t shut up!

I had the same issue with my 2015 Tahoe! It turned out to be a faulty relay. It was an easy fix. Just located it under the hood and switched it out. Check that first!

That’s a great tip! I’ve heard that can be a common problem. Did you replace it yourself, or did you take it to a mechanic?

I had the fan running nonstop as well. I found that cleaning the cabin filter helped. Sometimes dirt can cause sensors to go haywire. Just a quick fix that worked for me!

Thanks for the heads up, chicks! I never thought about the cabin filter affecting the fan. I’ll definitely check that out next time.

This may sound silly, but have you tried turning the vehicle off and then restarting? I’ve had luck with that sometimes resetting odd issues.

I’ve never thought of doing that! I guess it’s worth a shot. How often has that worked for you?

I had a similar problem last summer. I took mine to a mechanic, who said the issue was with the fan controller module. It was not cheap, but it worked!

Did you end up replacing the module yourself, markpreston? Or did you let the mechanic handle it? I’m definitely curious about the costs involved.

The dealer quoted me over $400 for that module! I suggest checking online for aftermarket options. They can save you tons.
