Anyone Tried Corsa Dual Exhaust Tips on Their Chevy?

I’m considering upgrading my Chevrolet Silverado with some new Corsa dual exhaust tips, and I’m looking for some advice. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Corsa brand, especially when it comes to performance and sound, but I want to know if it’s really worth the investment.

What to Consider

  • Sound: How much of a difference did you notice in the exhaust note after installation? Was it loud enough to be satisfying but not so loud that it’s annoying on longer drives?
  • Fitment: Did the tips fit well without any additional modifications? Any issues during installation?
  • Performance Gains: Did you experience any noticeable performance improvements? I’m curious if anyone has measured their horsepower or torque before and after.
  • Aesthetic Appeal: How do the tips look on the truck? Do they match the style of the Silverado?

Recommendations

If you have any other suggestions for aftermarket dual exhaust options for the Silverado, I’m open to hearing those as well. I’ve been looking at a few different systems and just want to make sure I make the best choice for my truck.

Conclusion

Thanks in advance for any insights you can provide! I really appreciate it and hope to contribute back to the community once I make my decision and install the tips.

I recently installed Corsa dual exhaust tips on my Chevy Silverado. Make sure you have a socket wrench set, a saw, and some clamps handy. The key is to follow the instructions closely!

That sounds great! Did you run into any challenges during the installation? I’m worried about removing the old tips without damaging anything.

Removing the old tips can be a pain. Use a penetrating oil like WD-40 to loosen bolts before trying to remove them. It saved me a lot of trouble!

Thanks for the tip, ebaker! Do you think a heat gun could help if the bolts are really stuck?

Absolutely, a heat gun can help loosen those bolts by expanding the metal. Just be careful not to overheat any surrounding components.

After you’ve got those old tips off, check for any rust or corrosion. It’s the perfect time to treat any issues before the new tips go on. Don’t skip that step!

Good point, I didn’t think of that! What kind of rust treatment do you recommend?

A rust-inhibiting spray works well, like Rust-Oleum. Just make sure to let it dry completely before installing the new exhaust tips.

Installing the new tips is straightforward—just line them up with the exhaust pipe and secure them tightly with the clamps. Double-check fitment before tightening everything down!

What kind of clamps do you suggest? I’ve heard mixed reviews about different ones.

I recommend using high-quality stainless steel clamps. They provide better resistance to rust and longer lifespan compared to regular ones.

Thanks! Now I’m curious if there’s a noticeable sound difference after the installation. What has everyone experienced?

The sound is definitely deeper and more aggressive. It’s one of the best parts about installing the Corsa tips! Just be ready for a few extra heads turning!

That sounds awesome! Has anyone had issues with excessive drone inside the cabin after the installation?

I experienced some drone, especially at higher speeds. Adding sound deadening material in the trunk helped a lot to reduce it!

Who knew that exhaust tips could spark this much discussion? It’s quite a journey to get the sound just right! Anyone else feel they pick up a few extra MPG too?

That’s hilarious! I’m more focused on the sound and looks, but if I got better MPG, I’m not complaining!

That’s awesome to hear! I’ve been considering it but wanted to know if the performance gain is noticeable as well.
