Just curious, anyone ever had issues with centered alignment after installing? I read that can affect the driving experience.
I did have a bit of an alignment issue at first. I found that shifting the brackets a bit helped a lot! It’s a small detail but important.
Don’t forget the seat belts! Swapping those can be a hassle; they might not line up properly unless you DIY their positioning.
I’m excited to try this! I might even share a video of the process. Hopefully, it’s not as messy as I’m imagining! Any last-minute tips?
Just have fun with it! Worst case, you get a learning experience. Also, don’t wear your best clothes—trust me!
I’ve been thinking about swapping my S10 seats with Cavalier seats too! They are generally more comfortable for long drives. Plus, I hear they fit nicely.
I’ve done the swap, and honestly, it’s a night and day difference! The Cavalier seats have way better cushioning for those long hauls.
The only downside I found was that the seat height is slightly different. Be sure to test them before making a decision.
That’s good to know! I’m 6’2’', so that might be a big factor for me. How much taller are they?
I’d say they sit about an inch higher. It doesn’t sound like much but it changes visibility a bit on the road.
I installed Cavalier seats last summer and took a road trip. Comfort-wise, they held up well even after hours of driving! Definitely a recommend.
That sounds promising! Anyone have experience with the durability of Cavalier seats though?
Durability is solid! I’ve had them for over a year with no issues. Just make sure to clean them regularly to keep them looking fresh.
I wonder if the color schemes of the Cavalier would clash with my interior. Anyone have pics?
Good question! Many Cavalier seats come in a variety of colors, so you can likely find a match. What color is your S10?
They did look nice in a friend’s S10, but my only thought is, what if they make the truck feel more like a car? Does anyone feel that way?
Haha, I never thought about that! But honestly, a little added comfort might just be worth it on those long drives, right?
