I’ve got 180,000 miles on my 5.3 Vortec. I make sure to use synthetic oil, and I think that helps a lot. I’ve replaced the fuel pump once, but that’s it!
I use Mobil 1 Synthetic! You can’t go wrong with a quality oil, especially in these engines.
