How to Adjust the Brightness on MyLink Screen?

I’ve been having some trouble with my Chevy MyLink screen brightness lately. It seems way too bright at night, and I’d love to know if there’s a way to manually adjust it without fumbling around too much while driving.

Here are some points I’ve noticed:

  • The screen dims automatically when it gets dark, but sometimes it doesn’t dim enough.
  • In certain driving conditions, like when it’s raining, the glare is really distracting.
  • I can’t find a clear option in the settings menu to adjust brightness directly.

Is there a hidden brightness setting that I might be missing? Or maybe a way to reset to default factory settings to see if that helps? Any insight or tips from fellow Chevy owners would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help!

To adjust the brightness on your MyLink screen, go to the settings menu, then select ‘Display’. You’ll find the brightness slider there. It’s pretty straightforward!

Thanks for that tip! Are there any optimal settings for bright sunlight?

In bright sunlight, it’s best to increase the brightness to max. Just keep an eye on battery life if you’re parked for a while.

If you find that the brightness still isn’t adequate in sunlight, consider using polarized sunglasses to reduce glare on the screen.

What about in low-light conditions? Any recommendations?

In low-light conditions, lower the brightness to enhance visibility without straining your eyes. You can also enable ‘Night Mode’ if available.

That makes sense! Is there a quick way to toggle brightness settings while driving?

You can set shortcuts for display settings in the MyLink menu, making it easier to adjust brightness while driving without too much distraction.

I hope that’s a feature in my car! What models support this?

Most recent Chevy models with MyLink have this feature, but it’s worth checking your user manual to confirm.

I think my 2022 model has it! Can’t wait to check it out!

Just a heads up, play around with the brightness until you find what feels comfortable. Don’t forget to save those settings!

And remember, if you have a really bright day, you can always crank it up to 12! Just kidding, it’s usually a scale of 1 to 10.

I’ve been struggling with my Chevy MyLink screen brightness too. It seems to dim during the day and I can’t figure out why. Anyone else facing this?

Yes! My screen is practically unreadable in daylight. I think it might be an auto-dimming issue.

I’ve noticed that even when I adjust the settings manually, my MyLink screen gets stuck at a low brightness level. It’s really frustrating!

I can relate! A solution would be appreciated. Has anyone found a fix?

I’ve read that the MyLink system may have a glitch that affects responsiveness. Sometimes the brightness slider just doesn’t respond. Have you tried rebooting the system?

Yes, rebooting seems to help temporarily. But why don’t they just fix this in updates? It’s such a hassle to deal with.
