Looking for Fender Flares for My 1998 Chevy Tahoe LT 4x4!

I love the way fender flares look! They really give your Tahoe a more aggressive stance. Anyone else love the aesthetic? Which brand looks best?

I think the Bushwacker flares look the sharpest, but I’ve also seen great things about the Lund flares. Just depends on your style preference!

I’ve seen some cheesy-looking fender flares out there. Make sure you avoid cheap plastic ones that fall apart! What do you think about the different materials?

I prefer ABS plastic over others for its durability. They can take on a lot before they crack. Anyone tried metal ones?

I’ve just installed metal fender flares; they’re heavy-duty but can rust if not taken care of. If you’re off-roading, it’s something to consider.

I think fender flares are a must if you lift your Tahoe. They make it look so much more purposeful! But they can be a bit pricey, huh?

True! But think of it as an investment in style and protection. Plus, you save on dirt cleaning, haha!

I’m also looking for Fender Flares for my 1998 Tahoe LT! Have you guys found any good options?

I found some decent ones on Amazon. You might want to ensure they fit well since the 1998 model can have variations!

Definitely check local shops too! Sometimes they have better deals than online.

Good point! Plus, you can usually see the quality in person.

Just a heads up, make sure to inspect your wheel wells as well. Rust can be a problem with older Tahoes.

Absolutely! I’ve seen plenty of 1998 Tahoes with rust issues. Regular maintenance can help combat that.

I always recommend changing the oil every 3000 miles for peace of mind. It’s an older vehicle and needs that extra care.

[@clowery] I’ve been doing every 5000 miles, but I might switch! Any other maintenance tips?

Don’t forget about the transmission fluid! Regularly changing it can save you headaches down the line.

[@herbert09] Good call! I had to do a transmission rebuild because I neglected it for too long!

Fender Flares are one thing, but keeping up on these maintenance tips is even more crucial!

True! Without proper maintenance, those flares won’t mean much if the rest of the vehicle is falling apart!

I love my Tahoe, but it does have its quirks! Just remember, it may not be as young as it once was!
