I haven’t had mice since sealing gaps! Also, consider placing traps around the garage, but be safe with pets.

Wow, that’s reassuring. Should I be worried about the smell if they get caught in a trap?

You might notice a smell, but it’s part of the process. Just check traps regularly and dispose of them safely.

For me, a deep clean of the garage really helped. Also, using a motion-activated light keeps them away!

Interesting! How does the light keep them away?

Mice are nocturnal, so sudden lights can scare them off! It’s a cheap way to deter them.

Just remember, if you keep your car in the garage, you should regularly check under the hood as well!

Totally! I also heard that dryer sheets deter mice. Anyone tried that?

I did try dryer sheets, and they seemed to help! Plus, they leave a nice scent under the hood.

I had a similar issue with mice nesting in my car. The best approach is to remove any debris from under the hood and use traps. Make sure you check for wires that may have been chewed through.

Absolutely! I’ve found using peppermint oil can also deter them from coming back. Just soak some cotton balls and place them around the engine bay.

If they’ve caused any damage, especially to the electrical wiring, it’s best to get a professional inspection. Mice can chew through things really quickly.

I agree with mannpaul. I had a costly repair after mice chewed through my wires. Make sure to check your fuses as well!

Here’s a suggestion: after cleaning, consider using a rodent repellent spray. It’s a proactive step to keep them away permanently!

That’s a smart idea! I hadn’t thought of that. I’m also thinking about using a sound deterrent that emits high frequencies.

I’ve read that mothballs can help deter mice too, but just be careful as they can be harmful to pets.

Debris removal is crucial! I find that keeping the area clean helps reduce nesting spots.

Do you think homemade traps work as well as store-bought options? I’ve heard mixed reviews, but I enjoy the DIY aspect.

While it’s all fun and games to make a trap, I recommend just going with the proven ones if you want a quick solution. I’m all for efficiency!

A bit of humor here, but how about leaving a tiny note for the mice saying, ‘Please find another home!’ Just kidding, but they really are a nuisance!
