Need Help with gm front shock bolts?

I’ve tried PB Blaster and it works wonders for rusted bolts too. It’s worth a shot before going for heat.

Great tip! I’ve had success with that as well. Just give it time to soak in.

Inspect the bolts regularly, especially before winter! The salt can do serious damage to your undercarriage.

When should we consider replacing these bolts versus just cleaning and reusing? Seems like a gray area.

If they show significant wear or corrosion, it’s better to replace them. Safety first!

Agreed! A little investment in new bolts can make a significant difference in vehicle performance.

Just think, if your shock fails, maybe you’ll get an exciting surprise ride! Just kidding! Safety is no joke.

Reflecting on my last repair, I wish I’d replaced the bolts instead of just cleaning them. Lesson learned!
