Thoughts on the Dark Ash Metallic Tahoe 2023?

Totally agree! I also make sure to wash my Tahoe regularly since I park under trees and get sap.

Has anyone noticed swirl marks from washing? I’m trying to figure out how to avoid those!

Definitely! Always wash with the foam method and use a new, soft mitt. I also suggest drying with a microfiber towel to prevent swirls.

What about waxing? Anyone have a recommended wax or sealant that works on Dark Ash?

For clay bar treatment, I’ve found it effective in keeping the paint smooth. It removes contaminants that washing doesn’t.

I’ve been using a ceramic sealant after waxing. It’s pricey but gives amazing shine and protection from the elements.

When I drove my Tahoe in the rain, I felt like the color really popped! I didn’t realize how much it would shine in different conditions.

Anyone else find that bugs stick to the grill? It’s like they see the Dark Ash and think it’s a buffet!

Haha, yes! I keep a microfiber cloth in my car for quick clean-ups after long trips.

I always use a professional detailer for deeper cleans every few months to maintain that dark shine. Worth it!

That’s smart! I worry about scratching the paint myself. Thinking of skipping to a detail every month.

I just took mine on a road trip. Fantastic ride! Just remember to check for paint chips. They happen more often on dark colors!

Do you think it’s just the Tahoe or does everyone with dark colors experience more chips? I’m starting to think it’s colors that attract them!

I love the Dark Ash Metallic color! It gives the Tahoe a sleek and modern look. Any thoughts on how it might affect resale value down the line?

I agree! Metallic colors often attract buyers, and darker tones can hide dirt better. I think that will help with resale value.

Market trends show that neutral and darker colors generally hold their value better. However, it depends on location and demand. Anyone else notice this?

Exactly! Plus, the Tahoe is a family favorite, so I think it’ll do well regardless of color.

I purchased a Tahoe in a similar color several years back and it sold at a great price. Dark colors seem to remain popular among buyers.

That’s interesting, santoscourtney! Do you think it was the color alone that drew buyers or were there other factors?

A combination of factors! But color definitely plays a massive role. Dark Ash Metallic is timeless; it’ll look good for years.
