It took me around an hour. Just make sure you have enough space to work in, and don’t rush it! Also, you might want to check the alignment afterward.
I’m considering using HID headlights instead. Has anyone tried those? I heard they offer incredible brightness but might require a conversion kit. Any thoughts?
HIDs are great for brightness, but installation can be a pain. Make sure you also upgrade the wiring harness if you’re going that route.

I used HIDs on my Cruze and it was worth it! Just be careful of legal restrictions in your area, as some places have regulations on headlight brightness.
For tools, all you really need is the screwdriver xhill mentioned. It’s straightforward, but double-check the connections before sealing everything up. You don’t want any surprises!

Great point, moralesalex! I also made the mistake of not securing the clips properly on my first try. Took me ages to figure out why my lights weren’t working.
I read that some aftermarket headlights can be poorly aligned out of the box. I suggest testing the aim after installation to avoid blinding other drivers.

Morimoto does have a solid reputation! Just be ready to pay a bit more. Worth it for quality, though. My buddy swears by them for his Cruze!

You’ll be looking for H11 bulbs for the low beams in a 2014 Cruze. Just double-check before buying!

If you’re dealing with dim headlights, consider upgrading to LED bulbs. They provide much better visibility and last longer than standard bulbs.
I’ve noticed my headlights are dim too. Does the 2014 Cruze have a common problem with the alternator affecting headlight brightness?
It could be the alternator! Mine was weak and caused dimming lights. A replacement fixed the issue.
For any electrical issues, it’s worth checking the fuse box. I had some corroded contacts that were affecting not just the headlights but other components too!
