What’s the Fuel Mileage Like on a 2010 Camaro SS?

Definitely! I find that if I ease off the throttle, I can stretch my fuel further. Still, sometimes you’ve just got to let it rip! :joy:

Haha, true! But remember, ‘with great power comes great responsibility.’ It’s all about balance, right? How fast do you usually go? Just curious!

Most of the time, I stick to the speed limit, but I can’t resist a little fun on the open road! It’s all about how you feel that day.

Great point! I wonder what the minimum fuel mileage would be if someone just drove it like a sports car all the time.

I’d guess around 12 mpg at best in the city if you are always punching it! But seriously, it’s a muscle car, after all! You get what you sign up for. :muscle:

Well said, Scott! It’s about enjoyment. If you’re looking for efficiency, maybe a hybrid is a better fit!

I own a 2010 Camaro SS, and honestly, the fuel mileage is decent for a performance car. I average around 15-23 MPG depending on driving conditions.

That’s pretty standard compared to other muscle cars. My Challenger does about the same in city and highway driving.

I’ve read that the 2010 Mustang GT gets slightly better mileage on the highway, around 25 MPG. Anyone have experience with that?

I test drove a Mustang GT, and the mileage is indeed better, but the Camaro has more power and torque – you might not mind the difference!

Honestly, it’s all about what you’re looking for. If you want a fun ride and don’t mind sacrificing a bit in fuel economy, the Camaro is worth it.

Exactly! Plus, it has that awesome sound and feeling you just can’t replicate in a fuel-efficient car.

What about reliability? Does anyone find that fuel mileage correlates with issues later on?

I’ve had my Camaro for a few years, and it’s been reliable despite its fuel consumption. I think regular maintenance is key!

The Camaro fuel mileage surprises me; I expected worse given the engine size. It’s better than my old Jeep!

Haha, that’s a low bar! But true, most performance cars are more efficient than older SUVs.

It’s hard to balance fun and fuel economy, but if you’re getting around 20 MPG, that seems pretty okay for a muscle car!

Absolutely! Just remember, it’s all about your driving style and where you drive.
