What tire size fits the Silverado Trail Boss?

I’m trying to figure out the best tire size for my Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss. I’ve seen a lot of discussions about upgrading tires for better performance and a more aggressive look, but I want to make sure I choose the right size.

Here are a few questions I have:

  • What is the stock tire size for the Trail Boss?
  • What are my options for larger tires without causing any rubbing issues?
  • Do you have recommendations for brands or specific models?
  • How does tire size affect off-road capabilities versus on-road comfort?

I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences you can share. Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone! I’m looking for the best tire size for my Silverado Trail Boss. What would you recommend?

I’ve had great luck with 275/65R18 tires. They balance performance and comfort well on and off-road!

You might also want to consider the 275/70R18. I feel like they give my Trail Boss a more aggressive look!

I agree with jclark! 275/70R18 has made my ride smoother on bumpy trails. Definitely a solid choice!

I went with 33-inch tires and absolutely love how it changed the stance of my Trail Boss. Anyone else trying larger sizes?

I’m considering the 33-inch as well! How much lift did you have to install?

I didn’t lift mine at all! The 33s fit perfectly, just moderate trimming needed. If you want a lift, maybe go for an adjustable one!

I also recommend checking out the Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. They are great for both performance and aesthetics!

I second that! They’ve really enhanced my off-road traction.

I’ve been using Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain tires and they handle well in wet conditions. Anyone else had similar experiences?

I prefer the BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2. They look great and perform even better on rocky trails!

Looking at all these suggestions, I’m curious. What’s the average lifespan people have seen with these tire brands?

From my experience, I’ve gotten about 40,000 miles from my Nittos, but it depends on how aggressive your driving is.

Wow, 40,000 miles is decent! I think I might stick with the Nitto Ridge Grapplers then. Thanks for the info!

You might be onto something! I just ordered a set for my truck.

Is it just me, or does every tire brand have fanatics? I mean, I’m sure any of these options would be fine, right?

I’d say you’re right! It’s all about personal preference and what you’re using the truck for.

I had similar results with 285/65R20 tires. The towing capacity stayed decent, but the off-road performance was noticeably better. Anyone else try wider tires?

What about ride comfort with those wider tires? I wouldn’t want to compromise my daily drive just for off-road capability.
