I’ve been experiencing a rough idle with my 2012 Chevy Cruze, and I’m hoping to get some advice on how to tackle this issue. It’s been running a bit rough when the engine is idling, and I can’t quite figure out what’s wrong. Here are some details:
Symptoms
The engine shakes slightly when stopped at red lights.
Sometimes the RPM fluctuates a bit.
It feels like it’s going to stall out occasionally.
Things I’ve Checked
Spark Plugs: I inspected the spark plugs, and they looked okay but might need replacing.
Air Filter: The air filter was quite dirty, so I replaced it recently, but the issue persists.
Fuel System: I added a fuel cleaner to the tank, but no noticeable improvement.
Questions
Has anyone else had similar issues with their Cruze?
What do you think could be causing the rough idle?
Are there any specific tests I should perform to diagnose the problem?
What To Do Next?
I’m considering checking the fuel injectors and maybe running a diagnostic test, but I’d love to hear any recommendations or suggestions from the community.
Thanks in advance for your help! Any insights, shared experiences, or pointers would be greatly appreciated!
