I’ve been looking into fog lights for my Tahoe too! I heard the installation can be tricky. Anyone have tips on tools needed?

You’ll need basic tools like a ratchet set, wire strippers, and a screwdriver. Don’t forget a drilling tool if you need to make new holes. It’s quite a process, but it’s manageable!

I installed aftermarket fog lights last month. The hardest part was accessing the wiring harness. Patience is key!

I went with the Morimoto fog lights and I’m really happy with them! They’re super bright and the install wasn’t too bad once I figured it out.

For beginners, taking your time is essential. Do a practice run on how the wiring goes before fully committing to it.

It’s definitely a challenge! I had to remove the bumper on mine, which was intimidating at first.

I think it’s hilarious how some people pay for installation when it’s actually a fun DIY project! Just have a few cold drinks handy to keep you motivated.

I’ve heard good things about PIAA fog lights too! Bright and durable.

I appreciate all the advice so far! I’m feeling more confident about the install. Just still unsure about those pesky wiring bits!

Agreed! Maybe practice makes perfect? I procrastinated and it got easy on the second try!

Overall, the install is challenging but rewarding! Definitely worth it once you see how they light up the road at night.

I’m also looking into fog light options for my Tahoe! I’ve heard LED lights are way brighter than halogen. Can anyone share their experiences?

Absolutely! LEDs provide better visibility in fog and rain. Plus, they last a lot longer. It’s a great upgrade for safety.

I did a switch from halogen to LED on my 2022 Tahoe and wow, what a difference! The light beam is much broader, perfect for those misty mornings.

That sounds promising! Do you have a particular brand in mind that you recommend?

I’ve been enjoying auxbeam LED Fog Lights. Installation was straightforward, and they really enhance visibility. Highly recommend them!

That’s good to know! But are they really worth the investment? Halogen is cheaper… just wondering if the upgrade is justified.
