Nitto Ridge Grappler on Silverado - Anyone Tried It?

I’ve been considering upgrading my Silverado with the Nitto Ridge Grappler tires and would love to get some insights from those who have experience with them. Here are a few specific points I’m hoping to cover:

Compatibility

  • Size: What size fit your Silverado, and did you need to make any modifications for them to fit?
  • Wheel Specs: Are there any specific wheel sizes or offsets that work better with these tires?

Performance

  • On-Road Handling: How do these tires perform during daily driving? Any noticeable differences in comfort or noise?
  • Off-Road Capability: If you’ve taken your Silverado off-road with these tires, how did they hold up? Would you recommend them for trail riding or more rugged conditions?

Durability

  • Tread Life: How long have they lasted for you? Any issues with wear or damage?
  • Weather Handling: How do they fare in wet or snowy conditions?

General Opinions

  • Would you recommend them? If you’ve had a positive or negative experience, please share!

Looking forward to hearing your experiences and getting some solid recommendations. Thanks in advance for the feedback!

I’ve had the Nitto Ridge Grappler on my Silverado for about 6 months now. They perform incredibly well in mud; I was surprised at the traction. Definitely worth it!

That’s awesome to hear! How do they handle in snow? I’m really curious about their performance in winter conditions.

In snow, they do quite well too! I felt confident driving through a few storms. The handling is solid, very little sliding.

Good to know! How about on paved roads? Are they noisy?

On paved roads, I’ve noticed a bit of noise, but it’s not unbearable. They ride comfortably overall, better than I expected for an All-Terrain tire.

That’s reassuring! I’ve been debating switching my tires to Ridge Grapplers. I mostly drive on gravel and want good traction.

On gravel, they shine! The tread design helps with grip, and I feel secure even on loose surfaces. Great choice if you’re off-roading frequently.

It’s interesting how they perform in different terrains. I’ve read mixed reviews about their durability. Anyone had issues with that?

I haven’t had any issues so far. I drive a decent amount, and they’re holding up well. Perhaps it varies by driving style.

I’m glad to hear that! I was worried since I tend to push my Silverado a bit hard sometimes. Comfort during long drives is also a plus, right?

Absolutely! They make long drives much more pleasant. I often take road trips, and so far, the comfort has been impressive. No complaints here!

Anyone tried them in deep mud? I often go off-roading and want to know how they’d handle the tougher stuff.

They did well for me in deep mud! Just be cautious; if it’s too deep, any tire can struggle.

That’s encouraging! I’ll definitely consider these if they can tackle muddy conditions. Thanks for all the input, everyone!

I actually tested a friend’s Silverado with Ridge Grapplers on some rocky trails, and they handled it like champs! The sidewalls felt strong.

That’s awesome! I love to hear positive feedback like this before making my decision. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve been using Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my Silverado for about a year now, and I have around 30,000 miles on them. The tread wear is decent, but I’m starting to see some uneven wear on the inner edges. Has anyone else experienced this?

I’ve got 25,000 miles on mine, and I’d say they are holding up pretty well! No signs of major wear yet. I do mostly highway driving, so maybe that helps?

That could definitely make a difference! I do a lot of off-roading, and I think that contributes to the wear I’ve seen. Anyone have experience with off-road use?
